Amelia Jackson is a Dually Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 12 years of experience working in primary care, urgent and convenient care clinical settings. Prior to coming to Brightwell Health, she worked at Health Care for the Homeless (HCH), a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC), providing comprehensive primary care and more recently psychiatric/mental health care. Prior to becoming an FNP-PMHNP, she worked as an emergency department nurse for 5 years.
The driving force behind her work is her belief that high quality, equitable, culturally informed healthcare should not be a privilege enjoyed by some, but a right enjoyed by everyone. Her medical related interests include health equity, health disparities, women’s health, chronic disease management, and physical and mental healthcare integration.
